Cross-disciplinary Integration

Vitruvian Bridge: Arts X Science Minds

Vitruvian Bridge is a practice-as-research project exploring the rich intersections between the arts and sciences. At its heart is a shared mindset—creative, curious, and collaborative—brought to life through a unique partnership between artists and scientists.

Focusing on the theme of DNA, the 2024 project concluded with DnAesthetics, an exhibition featuring artworks created through months of dialogue, experimentation, and discovery. Visitors were invited to explore this cross-disciplinary dialogue and engage with the creative process through free interactive workshops.

I’ve never imagined that the combination of mirrors and lights could create so many beautiful reflections—it’s truly therapeutic.

The mirror structure of DNA creates patterns, and these patterns in nature inspire artists’ creativity.

I love this combination: DNA, the symbol of life, as an overarching theme, revealing the profound connections of cosmology, sculpture, and music, all while demonstrating how DNA replicates itself with such exquisite precision.

I wonder—does this artwork operate on the same principles as cinema? What kind of fabric is required? Is it true that it would work with any transparent fabric? And are the placements of mirrors arbitrary?
