Throughout the year, AFTEC presented a series of creative interactive family workshops, namely A Young Person’s Guide to the Theatre and One Day in the Theatre. These workshops allow families to engage with different art forms and explore how the arts can unleash creativity and imagination.

Thank you for warmly welcoming me, a disabled pensioner, to take part in this workshop, fulfilling my long-standing wish to stage theatre (I am a regular theatre-goer). It was particularly rewarding to learn about and experience the role of stage manager, and I gained a great deal from the day.

I gained a deeper understanding of stage production and was surprised to learn that the script is also useful for the stage manager who works backstage.

I hope there will be more workshops that explore different themes!

Stage production is very interesting. I attended the sound and lighting workshop, and all of the tutors were very professional and knowledgeable. I think the best part was when all parties came together to stage a short play; it made the experience more realistic. I will certainly attend similar events again.
