Young Theatre Makers is a bilingual drama programme designed for secondary school students to discover the art of storytelling through playscripts and performance. By blending arts education with critical thinking, the programme encourages students to explore themes that resonate with their own lives—growing up, identity, and the world around them.
At the heart of the programme is a curated collection of 14 original plays written by playwrights from Hong Kong and other cities across Asia and Europe. These scripts, available in both English and Chinese, are written specifically for young people and spark thoughtful dialogue and creativity. Through discussions, rehearsals, and performances, students discover how theatre helps us make sense of the world—and ourselves.
